Can just washing a shirt get it all out?

A few days ago I got my braces at the dentist, and they put this thing in my mouth to make my tounge stay back and suck up the saliva. It started to pinch, then pinch harder, then KILL! I was dumb and put my finger in my mouth while they were still doing my teeth. They were using this green stuff and they said if you get it on skin it can sting and if it's on for a few minutes kinda burn. I wiped it on my shirt but then they said to wipe it on my tissue because it can burn my skin. I freaked out. Right when I got home I took a shower and changed. I gave the shirt to mom and she washed it. I tend to worry alot, and I want to know if the washing machine will get it out. It looks clean, I just like to be sure. I also want to know what that stuff they put in my mouth is. I know it will never really hurt you if they put it in my mouth, and it's ok to swallow, I know because they said "Doesn't taste very good huh?" when I kinda swallowed, but you don't want to swallow a lot.
